We're delighted to be working with Hortus Collective on a major landscaping project at the Becton Centre.
This project, will bring a much-needed outdoor sanctuary for patients and staff at our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
The courtyard is being developed alongside the Becton School and inpatient services to create a space that is welcoming, safe and purposeful.
The garden's layout creates a sequence of spaces, some are smaller and intimate, whilst some feel more open and airy. This range gives patients the opportunity to discover places that work for them, whilst also providing space for patients and their families to come together. There will be year-round interest so that there is always a space that is beautiful and calming.
Its design also encourages patients outside, allowing them to take part in outdoor lessons, workshops and cooking or flower-arranging workshops, that use the garden's produce.
